No problem whatsoever and I've put mine through more than the average Mod 14.
First I bead blasted the blade and exposed tang, then put the whole knife in an acid bath to thoroughly clean it, then into a parkerizing solution (~350 F), then into a fresh water rinse and then light oil. That was almost 20 years ago and the knife is still in great shape, although the collector value is somewhat diminished. Micarta is tough stuff and the epoxy holding it has shown no weakness at all.
