Randall 5" Combat Companion

5" Randall Combat Companion, bought in Kittery ME 2 months ago. I bought with the intention to carry this while I hike but never did. I did put an edge on it, as the factory edge was not great, used my KME, kept the bevel pretty much where it was when I got it, but now its razor sharp. It's been sitting in the sheath in my desk drawer since I bought it. I've got the original green paracord that came with it, but not the original paper wrap. Looks good. I had a 1-6. Edge was similar in that it was a factory edge yet far from sharp. I sent it back and had them “Sharpen it”. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in the level of sharp they consider sharp.
On the other hand, I was at a show and held a Model 18 survival model, it was hair shaving sharp. I just don’t understand why would a company not do that..... make it a good sharp edge? Anyway.
