I just got my first Randall today and I have a question. It is a Model 14 and has a very nice sheath. What is the paracord for at the top of the sheath at the belt attachment and how does it work? Thanks.
The Model A sheath is designed under the auspices of the U.S. Marine Corp. The main purpose of the paracord is it provides a loop that secures the knife as a secondary retainer for the knife. The extra length provides a nice piece of cord for any use in the field.
