I bought a Randall Made Knives Model 2-7 "Fighting Siletto" off of the Exchange a couple of years ago, which looks like this:

Unfortunately, the prior owner stored the knife in its sheath resulting in corrosion in several spots, which I tried to polish out myself with only limited success. So, I finally got around to sending the knife to Randall to try to fix it.

Got an estimate & invoice to refinish the knife today, less than 24 hrs after they received the knife, and got a "thanks for your payment" notice just minutes after I paid the invoice. Neither notice appeared to be computer generated & all of the emails were signed by people named Randall. 👏

I only mention this because I've never received such prompt responses from a company for the repair of a knife (or anything else for that matter).

ETA to get the knife back is 2-4 weeks.

I'm hoping that the quality of the refinish work is as outstanding as their customer service has been so far. ✌️

Anyone else care to report their customer service experience(s) -- pro or con -- with Randall Made Knives? 🤔

I have my great grandfathers Springfield "Randall Made" that has lived quite a life. Emailed Randall about refurbishing it and and included photos. Mr. Randall promptly responded that they do not work on the Springfield knives and gave me some tips on how to clean it up and preserve it.

It was a totally understandable response since they didn't actually make the knife (I didn't quite understand the Springfield/Orlando story at the time) and I felt it was very nice and professional.

As far as I'm concerned you can't really get much better than prompt attention from one of the owners of a large company.

I've ordered my own Randall that will be ready someday. Lol! Gives me lots of time to pay for it.

I also find it also a cool fact that you more often than not get a grandson of the founder of the company on the phone. Good people and knives! They will make your blade as new assuming that there is no deep pitting. Even then it will come back a lot better looking. Another reason why they perhaps don't like to refinish Springfield knives could be that it most likely hurts the conductibility and the value. These are WWII knives and collectors tend to want them as original as they can be. The same applies for Randall's used in other wars and the old/rare ones.

I ordered over a dozen Randall Made Knives over the past 8 years directly from them. I spread out the orders which is cool because now every once in a while I get an email that my knife is ready. Years fly by and before you know it a box shows up at your door with a brand new Randall in it.

A valid strategy!

I gave a Model 5 to my son in law and a Model 7 to his son, also known as my grandson: I guess I should order more.

Great knife and revolver! The great thing about Randall is that the knives are still made as they did when Bo Randall started in 1938. I must say, no brand gives me the nostalgia feeling that I get when I hold a Randall. They just have something special, one can almost say a personality. I believe it is the only brand that has a song written about it :D

I must add that there are also a few dealers that Randall has been doing business with for decades who can take your order and then the wait is about 10 months to a year. In alphabetic order, they are all three FANTASTIC to deal with:

Doug Kenefick 860-774-7214 (the oldest living Randall Dealer for more than 45 years) He has no internet page like Nordic and Clinton and prefers to take orders by phone. He does have an emailaddress.

This knife that I bought from Nordic Knives is refinished by the grandson of Bo Randall, Jason Randall. I thought that was extra special when I bought it. The knife is made as new!

That's great, Sarge!

I own a 7 myself, it goes to my eldest son when I pass. His little brother is gonna have to settle with a Busse, hahah!

Please post up pics when you take delivery, thanks!

Not to detract from your fine 2-7, sgt1372 sgt1372 .

5 years ago I was given a well used, older 3-6 as a gift, I love that knife. I am hesitating sending it in to Randall, the marks of man on it tell too much of a story of the previous owner.

Today I have probably 15 in all? Mostly through Gary Clinton.

Had a few Randalls years ago (a 14 and two 10s), but saw this last week at Nordic Knives and had to have it!
