I was interested in a Randall#14, what other knife is similar to this and just as good, in the same price category, excluding Busse 7, Mad Dog "Attak" because I already have these, the knife is to be used to skin small game, (rabbits, it's all we have here) make shelters and traps and basic survival training, so what else do you think suits my criteria?

I can't speak on the Busse, but between my #14 and my MD DSU2, I'd take the #14 for the activities you state. For $250 the #14 is really tough to beat for an all-round blade. Buy the Randall you won't regret it.
