I don't recall seeing a thread like this. If one exists, this can be deleted. There are times that I've wanted to post a story, a random picture, a thought, etc.... but I don't want to clutter up the forum with a bunch of off topic threads. Duder's "Community Center" thread is great for life's important issues. The Happy Hour, Food and Music threads are all great for their purposes but a random off-topic thread might be interesting when we just want to share something cool or spark up a conversation.

For example ... I had a chance to go down to Comerica Park for the Tigers / Yankees game the other night. It was cold but my wife and I still had a great time!

We were in the "Tiger Den" Rick. They are the best seats I've ever had the chance to sit in. The tickets were given to us. We only had rain Tuesday night. It snowed last night! April baseball in Michigan  :D

Great idea Dave, I was just thinking about the need for one of these.

On another note... Would anyone on the crew mind explaining the new tumbled finish to us common folk? Thanks!

While you're at it, please explain what happened to Bluebacks. I keep kicking myself for trading the Bushfinger I had with the blued finish.

Basically it's the blades placed in a tumbler with stones and a weak acid solution.

Giving it the "stone washed" effect

Ok gotcha, thought it may be different than stonewashed. I like the corrosion resistance added and the look of stone washing. Might have to pick up one of these. Thanks Phillip

One week from today I will be walking my oldest daughter down the aisle. It's still hard to comprehend where the time has gone ... He's a good guy and I couldn't be happier for them.

Congrats Dave & best wishes on what I'm sure will be a memorable day for you & your family. You can now look forward to becoming a Father-In-Law and sharing in their new life together. I have a feeling you're going to be a good one !

Which Fiddleback will you be carrying in the pocket of your tux as you walk your daughter down the isle ?

Thanks Peter! I look forward to that father-in-law role and to the next phase of parenthood. Then grandkids! :) I'll have some pics up after the wedding.

I just picked up a Runt in a trade. I should have it today. I have pocket sheath that will go nicely with my tux. :D

Congrats MajorD!

Tonight is my daughter's first Prom. Be praying for me (and her) that I don't need to use my Shank on anyone. ;)

That first pic is awesome! Congrats on your daughter's wedding. Hopefully you will be Granddad in the near future. :)

Any auto racing junkies here?? My wife and I follow drag racing heavily. Next weekend we will be at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk Ohio. We will be camping track side. I look forward to this weekend every year. We have friends that run a blown alcohol Top Dragster and they will racing this event.

Last year's event.

A few pics from while were down here in Ohio.

Home away from home. The track is located behind my trailer. We are just passed the finish line.

Love it Dave. Lotta horsepower there. Long (LONG) time ago I would take my '68 Camaro to the High School Drags at Bandimere Speedway. My son and I like to go to the Mile High Nationals but it's been a couple years since we've made it.

Today the town of Erie, which is just north of us, held their annual balloon festival.

My daughter loves Wicked and was in seventh heaven.

We chased the Wicked balloon to where they landed in a field and watched them take it down.

More photos to be found in the below album if you're a balloon junkie.

Those are some beautiful pics Nathan, well done!

On another note, are there any avid fisherman in this forum? I know we have some hunters

That looks fun Nathan! I wanted to make it this year but ended up being out of town for work.

I love fishing whenever there is time Brendan!
