Tod those are cool! I would like to try something like that someday. I will have to investigate and see what is available locally.
 
Heading to Quebec this week for my first archery black bear hunt. Going with my brother, dad, and a few of his buddies. I'll be back on the 28th to post some pics of our camp and hopefully some bear!

Good luck on the hunt Brendan! Hunting a bear with a bow sounds pretty epic. I think I'd be packing something else too in case things went south. :)

Thanks Nathan! Unfortunately I'll be 100 miles from the closest town without any firearms. I'm thinking I should pick up bear mace before the trip so I don't have to use my bushfinger in a worst-case scenario lol.

Thanks Josiah! I hope I can document the trip well enough to make an interesting post. Dan Eastland is also going so I'm sure he'll be taking pictures to post on his forum too.

Awesome week in Canada with my family and friends. My brother and Dan are the only ones who got bear and so much stuff went wrong during the trip but I think it was one of the best weeks of my life thus far. I hunted hard and saw a couple bear but they weren't shooters. I'll write up something detailing all of the mishaps and fun stuff in the next couple of days. I think Dan might have something up his sleeve too
 
Wow Brendan, that sounds like a Great Trip! Think I would have snuck a 44mag with me just in case like Thurin said! would be my Luck i would miss with 1 thru 8 arrows hahahahaha.
 
Lol Cory, I was telling my Dad that for the past year leading up to the trip but for some reason I felt no fear getting out of my treestand in the dark. I'm working on a longer write up at the moment... stay tuned for all of the bad luck that we had
