Chimp
This has gone in my travel on the road to many gigs bag for the past 9 years. If you only knew how many hotel room T.V. sets I had to take the little black gaurd off the coax cable to plug in my xbox with.

hey bear, Thanks to your pics I just ordered a OHT.... Can you tell me how you ground off the serrations? Is it convexed? I am gonna do that as soon as it arrives, figgured it would be an interesting project to pass some time.

It was real easy but then I sent another OHT to a guy to do it this time he did both sides. It is a chisle grind. He charged $20 did an unbelieveable job too.

I did mine with a course eze-lap and then medium and fine. The serrations come off real easy. I always liked them and they are the only serrations I have ever liked for whittling wood. You just might want to keep them. Swissbianco told me that there will be a red scaled OHT with a plain blade and a corky instead of the phil screw.

I love the OHT but I believe they make a PE version now. I gotta pick up one... we all need to add pics to this thread,I would think we all have our favorites... so bear what did you do to the Italian girl to get her to give up the SAK .

Hmmm. Another knife to aquire. I will play with them alittle and might keep them. Thanks.

It was easy really....waited till she went to work then had some fun. They only make the stayglow in plain and it is a short run with preorders and a long wait. Send it to the guy on edcforums and he will send it back fast and convexed.

I'll get pics posted but I have swisschamp/champion/tinker/hiker/rally/classic/hunter.here are the few pics I have on file that have been posted before

Got the Vic Hunter and Vic Classic, Mauser Officers Knife, and a Wenger World Scout Knife. In the past I've also had the Victorinox Climber, Cadet, Golfer/Compact, 2 SwissChamps, and a Wenger Major - all either being stolen or given away. Of these I EDCed the Mauser for about 7 years, and have EDCed the Hunter and WSK a lot when travelling. The Hunter also comes to the woods with me, and the Classic is in my pocket now.

I need to sand the serrations off my OHT. That's the one thing I dislike about it. If I mess it up, no problem. I have a new one in the box.

I got out the old belt sander. Time to take off these serrations and put a fine edge on my OHT.
OHT001.jpg

I started with 80 grit. It takes off steel in a hurry and doesn't seem to heat the blade as much as finer grits. But it looks pretty rough.
OHT002.jpg

Then I went to 180, then 80 micron, and final finish with a 15 micron. It will shave the hair off my arm now.

It isn't abolutely perfect, but it works.:D

I did both sides. The blade was only ground on one side, even on the plain edge portion.

If it came out as good as it looks I say open up shop and take them on. Many people will want it done. Better someone here than on edcforums. Good stuff more pictures it is the ROCKSTAR!
