Random sharpening question

Random question! I have two of the AD20s knives in cruwear from the recent 2025 drop over at DLT... I sharpened one of them on a wicked edge system with diamond stones... matched factory angle and finished at 800 grit with a light stropping at the end. Centered apex and symmetrical bevels... noticed it wasn't cutting as smoothly as the other one with the factory edge. Does anyone know what grit the blades are finished at at the factory? something tells me it's a lower grit than 800... thanks so much!

I'm guessing around 200 but I just sent a text to John Demko. I may be way off.

factory edge definitely feels more toothy... i was guessing 400-600...

If John texts me back, I'll post it up. I only said 200 because several makers I know have told me that's the belt they finish on. Doesn't mean Demko does, however.

They finish on 240 grit belts
