I joined BF a few years ago, because I have always loved knives-especially Bowies. With that, having joined, and mostly read during those years, I learned about other styles/designs that I now really enjoy. I also have developed a bit of an addiction, that seems to be getting worse, the more time passes.
 
Hello everybody, well first of all I have learned that I know nada. That's the biggest thing I've learned here. I constantly see things I didn't know. And I thank you all for that. It would appear I have the knife itch that I can't scratch. My wife ask me why I have all these notes about knives. I don't have the funds to get what I crave at the moment. ( Junkyard Dog). Because of college etc etc. I recently purchased a carbon blade opinel.But I gave it to my brother when he saw it. He liked it more than I did. Anyway I have more than I deserve. Thanks for the GAW mrnotsam and thanks BladeForums.
 
I'm in! Thank you for your generosity. Every time I come onto BF, I am wowed by the generosity of the people on here. When I first started my collection of knives, a man spoke up and asked me if I would be open to owning a knife he currently had. It was an extra knife for him, so it didn't really matter to his collection. I took him up on his offer and he sent the knife my way. I received a Case blue mini copperlock a few days later. That act of kindness really made me like BF. Thanks and good luck!
 
I'm in thanks. On blade forums I've learnt that to have a knife and not use it is a shame. So many great knives covered in grime, wear, and scratches...
 
Not entering but I had to comment. Non-ferrous utility wrench? That fascinates the heck out of me
 
This forum has given me countless hours of entertainment and granted me much knowledge......and caused me to empty my pockets

After so many positive things said and way more people than I had though entering on the first day -The restriction of having to have joined before Jan 31 has been removed, No reason to exclude some of the new members. If you're a member and you post then you're in. Since there's only one entry per person, I will make a list before choosing and leave out any double numbers. Thanks everyone so far for the entries, It's great to hear all these stories and all the positive comments.

Hanging around the knife makers forum has helped me to think outside the box more. Some of the innovations and techniques I have learned here have really helped me at work.

hmm.... What did I learn from BF....
First pic is my collection before I joined BF and the second one is after. Third picture is after I joined too. And the last picture CRK Diamond plate is on the way should be getting it today or tomorrow. You decided what I learned. Hint- I learned to spend that $$$

I just want to say thanks to the guys in the CRK forums who really helped me out when I was a new member here and choosing a Micarta Insingo 21, I learned a lot from them.
