I don't know how I feel about an EDC. I always have a folder on me, so I don't know what an EDC would give me that a combo of a folder + FK/BFK/HDFK/SDFK couldn't?

I don’t have many fixed blades in that shorter size, I prefer something in the FK2 size. BUT, holding an EDC for the first time the other day kinda slapped me a little. I really like it, the handle, it’s all about the handle.

Bumping that blade out to 3.625 (3-5/8”) though would be ED-Certifiable!

Friggin' USPS. I just walked the dog down about a half mile to the mailboxes on the main road. We only had b.s. in our mailbox, the usual political ads and one actual useful piece of mail that I went there for.

I couldn't believe how many cartons were just left sitting on top of the mailboxes unattended. (The sizes that are usually delivered to our and our neighbor's doors.) They just couldn't be bothered to deliver them...so left them for whoever decided to grab 'em up. Amazon boxes and other major retailers.

Truly pathetic service. I've called the local P.O. to voice my opinion when it involves my parcels, but this isn't my hill to die on today. Still, it's galling.

How far the USPS has fallen. It is pathetic.

Yes true but you can be very successful with that piece of paper....

But that doesn't stop a "generation of lazy"

Hell I have one kid who's in his 20's and in college and still doesn't understand supporting himself and working for his own money... and my youngest is still in highschool works 2 jobs and is terrible with his money
(I can't win lol)

I'll mention here one of my favorite movies ever is one called idiocracy

one of the things we're teaching our children is about money and opportunity cost.

I'll edit to add
if the people in charge with all of the means to enact change wanted things to be different then things would be different.

I was hired in the beginning of 2020, right before the pandemic. It took me 23 months to get converted to regular/career (12/21). The person below me who started 7 months later,,for perspective, she was converted to career in only 13 months!!! Seriously,,If you’re serious about working and want security I highly recommend USPS right now. Many of the people reading this, your carrier went through sooooooooo much more in order to get cozy like they are now as a vet. I have a half mounted route not even one year as a regular in a decent sized city with multiples offices. Unheard of.True opportunity out there if you are not a lazy pos.
