My juicy bit of news for the day - I saw my kids yesterday evening, and the news from CNN (my 3rd-grade daughter, Esme) is "MILES HAS A GIRLFRIEND!!!" and the news from Fox (my 6th-grade son, Miles) is "I DO NOT HAVE A GIRLFRIEND, ESME!"
But he did give his football jersey to a female classmate who asked for it.
So in elementary school terms, they're already engaged and planning their life together, although her return of his jersey two days later is still a bit of a mystery. Could be a catastrophic breakup. Could just be he had practice that third day.
In sixth grade a boy might have had three or four girlfriends and big breakups according to the girls but he and all his friends are under the impression that he has never had a girlfriend, so I would really need an inside source in the sixth grade girls to know what is really going on.
Who says having kids isn't fun, this is hilarious.
