Those of you using MS Windows can use the alt code Alt+0146 to produce the symbol (hold down "Alt" (right or left) and enter, in sequence, "0146", then release "Alt").

Mac, no idea. But on iphone/ipad I can hold my finger on the typical (incorrect) apostrophe character and it will give me the choice of a number of different symbols to choose from, one of which is the correct one.

Tried with Android (S22 Ultra). Nope, just the standard vertical slash.

Yeah, but is the Cap'n really worth the trouble. Mutiny...I sez. Mutiny now!

I’ve been a pain in the ass to everyone around me for as long as I can remember. Many (most) of my teachers told me this directly. Told my parents the same thing during conferences. Teachers physically beat me, a camp counselor threw me to the ground one year (out of two) and my best friends always introduced me saying things like “This is my good friend. He’s an asshole but you’ll like him.”
With a tear of joy in my eye, on my birthday no less, I can’t really express in words how wonderful finding out about this makes me feel.
Thank you guys!
