Either knife will do fine! If you plan to camp, I personally would likely go with the HDFK for camp clearing, firewood, etc. Depending on weather conditions and location though, we do get quite a bit of time when open fires are not allowed for fire risk. I highly recommend getting a copy of The Milepost prior to traveling the Alcan or up here- it is a great resource for where there are points of interest, places to buy fuel, pull outs, fishing soots along the road, campsites/hotels, etc. an amazing information.

No question uf2. Slender and easier to tote. Half the price, much more practical for normal Cutting chores and stabbing Skeletor in the face.

I'd lean towards the UF2. It's lighter and the slimmer profile would be easier to conceal despite being similar lengths.

It cuts really well, too, especially if you're doing mostly food prep vs bushcraft/building a shelter from scratch type stuff where the HDFK has a definite advantage.

Maybe he was a member of the Twelve Tribes of Israel and didn't know. I sense a pattern emerging.

(Anyway, he should've waited until January 6th...but nobody said there'd be math.)
