Random Thought Thread

How the f the skinner not win the next production run is beyond me.
Yes. That thread was the first I heard of it (try to avoid the encyclopedia šŸ¤‘). Assumed it was a (ā€œtheā€) hunting knife so didn’t bother voting for it. If I could go back and vote again it would be my first pick. I really like the edc but its just a bit too,,,,,ummm,,,chunky? Just a bit too wide framed for my ā€œedcā€ purposes. The skinner on the other hand is everything I dreamed of when I use to see the ā€œwhat would you like to seeā€ thread pop up. A precise, slender light weight thin asf edged matter separator from the knife gods above baby jesus hold me šŸ„²šŸ‘¼ 🌈 šŸ¦„

I thought the same exactly.

Truly random here. Got the go ahead from the boss to buy a classic car. For me that means birth year. 1967. Not a bad year for American muscle. Oddly there seems to be an abundance in the rust belt. Scares me-RUST. No fords(sorry Nathon) no Camero (even though thats what i grew up wanting). Malibu or gto is what I'm thinking. tips? Trick? Leads?
Forget the Malibu and go full Chevelle SS...my favorite body style from 66/67. Nothing wrong with the Goat from that era either. If you want to move forward a few years, I have a 72 Cutlass Supreme convertible that I'm looking to sell.

Don’t forget about the 442!
I have this beauty in my garage temporarily while the owner expands on his garage.

It’s the same body as the Chevelle and GTO, but with different front and rear styling, at a much lower price than a GTO.
Barnfinds and Bring A Trailer would be my first places to look, or you could just search the year and model you want for sale on the old Google and there’ll be a bunch of dealers that’ll have them.
Too bad you’re not into Fords. A 67 Mustang Fastback with a well built 302 or 390 will spank most cars from that year.
Don’t go forgetting about Mopars.
The Charger, GTX, Belvedere, Coronet and Satellites are great looking cars also.

Have had it a while just aint been seeing much action as its taped up and awaiting a sheath. Mark my words it will be my most used knife here soon enough.

Do you hunt? What will you be skinning with it? Also, what’s the size on that knife just so I can compare it to some of my smaller hunting knives, it looks sweet.

Similarly I assume other skinner was a big, wide flat hunting knife. That knife I would call a bird and trout.

I didn't have a muscle car...just the same car the NYPD drove...a '67 Plymouth Fury III, 383 c.i. with the Torque-Flite tranny.

Back then, I preferred a couple of other Chrysler, (Plymouth and Dodge), offerings...the Challenger and Barracuda.

My girlfriend had a GTO. (Her family had a few bucks. I drove hand me downs.)

We were married in my car some 20+ years ago. As part of the Vegas drive through service we got a Polaroid wedding photo.

Still drives … that car can never be sold :)

PS: 65 not 67 though.

Used to have a neighbor who had a 67 Mustang, a GTO, and a Barracuda 😲

One day, when I was working on my 3000GT, he came over to chat. Asked what I was doing, and looked over the car and said, "I've worked on my cars for 30-40 years, and I have no idea what you just said. I wouldn't know where to start, with these newer vehicles".

We walked over to his place and I got to check out his beautifully kept cars, and he popped the hood and said, "See, if this car's running a little lean, I turn THIS knob, here. If I want to adjust the ignition timing, I'll adjust this. I have no idea how to do anything with the electronics in newer cars".

I looked at the immaculate engine bay, and said, "Wow... there's so much room in there, I could set up a cot to take a nap in it" šŸ˜…

*** (Like many modern vehicles, the 3000GT's engine bay is SUPER cramped. I usually need to take off several things just to get to whatever I'm actually trying to work on).

I do also. And I have 3 new color combos on the way.
Ok Jo...
Let's see some proof. Pics on this bold claim once the other three new combos arrive. :) Six different color ways of the same shoe or it never happened! ;)

Edit: Why that would be almost like having six different versions of the same model CPK! šŸ˜†
