Lol. I bag the lint from the dryer screen, for making firestarters. Just add some Vaseline.now you have kindling
*** The lint from synthetic blankets and fleeces already burns amazingly well. Add some Vaseline, and it makes excellent, cheap firestarters. Convenient to stick the Vaseline + lint balls in old school 35mm film canisters (I thought those went the way of the dodo, but learned that packs of new, empty canisters are available on Amazon).
One of the considerations for me, for backwoods fire, is the ability to use them 1-handed (in case one arm is disabled), and to be able to use them with cold, numb hands (eg. To start a fire to ward off hypothermia, from things like inadvertently falling into water in cold weather etc.).
Keeping the Vaseline+lint balls in those pop top film canisters makes it easy to extract them by just stepping/stomping on the canister, vs trying to unscrew something with numb fingers, while shivering.
