He's absolutely right.. I'll concede the people that do know could easily teach them the correct way to do things and avoid dumb mistakes, but I had houses to frame.. I didn't have time to be someone's teacher as well.

They let the last one to get fired before I moved do measurements one day and was off an 1/8th of an inch on every board holding a balcony him and another guy were building.

You can imagine the slant it caused.. iirc the balcony was 15' to 20'. You could see it from the street. I showed him his mess up by setting a baseball one of the kids of another guy working with us left in his trunk on the end and let him watch it roll off the other side 🤣

An 1/8 of an inch?!

... as a machinist. This offends me...

Just don't let a Tarantula Hawk sting you! That one HURT!!! 😲 I picked up what I thought was a dead one. It was. Mostly. Still alive just enough to still sting. Felt like my hand and half my arm had been smashed by Thor's hammer! For HOURS!!! :poop:
I was literally searching for a good pic of a Tarantula Hawk while you posted this.

Dude was a monster.. I like to think of him as the Earnhardt of pitching. His fastball was nuts

I still remember all those baseball cards I had of him as a kid hyperextending his elbow throwing those heaters. I can never pick my favorite pitcher though between him, Clemens, Ryan, Martinez, or Maddux. Good times

Oh sheet! Just looked up the most painful stings in the world, and the Tarantula Hawk is second to only the Bullet Ant!!! 🥵 o_O
Watch coyote peterson on youtube. He let's all kinds of stuff sting him. Bullet ant, velvet ant, tarantula hawk, executioner wasp. The only thing I've ever seen make him try to have the venom extracted was the giant desert centipede. He said it beats the bullet ant and tarantula hawk by a lot.
Freaking walking nightmares. Bleh

To clarify, a centipede bites to envenomate prey, it doesn't sting.
