Random Thought Thread

At the risk of offending some folks here... (*like my two Buddies "Jack" & "Zero" and I probably did last night)

Doesn't everyone just love the "...and other duties as assigned" stuff in job postings? I know I do. I JUST LOVE 'EM!

When I read those, I always imagine some guy in a white short sleeve button-down and $3 tie, looking like the Dad in the old Twisted Sister vids, telling me something like, "I know you're a delivery driver but those toilets ain't gonna' clean themselves."

I've had plenty of jobs like that in my teens and 20's. And, back then, sure. However, I'm 52yo now and have been "volun'told" enough in my younger years to last me a lifetime.

Just a random thought. Your mileage may vary.

I'm bored.............I'm sick (kidney infection). 742 episodes of The Simpsons and I've only watched 92

Well, the question is how cute his wife is.

At an 18th century European peace conference, a French General struck up a conversation with a British General. The Frenchman asks the Brit, "Why is that your troops go into battle in those bright red coats? They seem awfully garish and opponents can see them coming from a mile away." "Well," says the Brit, "the red coats are so that if a soldier is wounded his fellows won't be able to see the blood and despair." "How clever," responds the French General. "I can see the wisdom in that. As a matter of fact something like that might benefit my troops as well!" And from that day forward, the French army has always gone into battle in brown pants.

Toyota has just released some official photos of the 2024 (Gen 4) Tacomas and as expected, they look like a smaller version of the current Tundra (2022+) models. Gen 6 4Runners can't be too far behind. Since I'm not an early adapter (unless it's named CPK) I would wait out about 3 years.
