Considering that I've drafted semis for 70+ miles, cruising at 77-78mph as recently as the past couple months (Adaptive Cruise Control is fantastic for that. Hit something like 48mpg with a non-hybrid vehicle 😅), I wonder how many semis actually have/implement GPS speed limiters?

One of the things I'd like to eventually see, is semis with a GPS controlled cruising speed, so I NEVER have to deal with the, "Well, ah caught up to this 'ere other semi, so imma gonna take a few minutes to pass at 0.2mph faster".

Just ensure that every semi that's finally got up to cruising speed, cruises at exactly the same speed, so the only time one tries to pass the other, is when one of them has just merged onto the highway and is still accelerating to cruising speed.
 
Is there a dignified way to both salivate over today's FFS piece and also resign over it by (un)gracefully bowing out? Taking the dog out for a walk around 2PM seems like a very lame way but I have nuttin better now. Grats to the soon-to-be lucky winner :thumbsup:

Tim the Wizard (previously pantheratigris?) was also one of those very quick to the draw and often scored first place but haven't seen him in here for a while. Of course our own Blues is the FASTEST because he has the ability of time-travel to post his claim before Nathan even hits unlock 🤣

Just to clarify, i was not trying to sound pissy about it. Maybe a little snarky but not whining 😅 I forget sometimes that the tone of comments can be lost in translation from my brain to text.
Both good dudes as far as I can tell and I've never seen them flip any of these badboys so if they do hit, good for them. I am actively rooting against some though, but I will leave that at that

I don't think anyone who knows you in the least would think you were.

That said, it doesn't mean we can't break a few legs to even things up around here. ;)
