You my friend, have great taste in both shoes and knives.Love 95s esp the OG with volt color. Have an all black pair I wear at work when Feelin cute / disobedient and a pair of essentials I wear to the gym. Solid and cozy shoe.

Thx bud. Was a minor obsession prior to getting back into hoarding knives. This exact pair from 2014 being the one I wasted more time searching for than any. When they finally popped up like new for well less than I was willing to pay it was a happy day. MyYou my friend, have great taste in both shoes and knives.![]()
That makes me wonder..in shoe collecting is there a gold standard size? Do you try to collect all one size, or does that matter?Any of those a size 13? Lol
My car sucks this month. As some here know, I have a 2020 Ford Transit 250 cargo van high top that's been converted into a camper van. I LOVE the flexibility it affords. I HATE some of the normal expenses associated with it though. This month, I have
$550 car pmt
$430 registration renewal compliments of the great state of Arizona
$730 6-month auto insurance premium (thanks, GEICO)
and now, I just discovered a nail in my front tire that moves up my target date of getting new tires from next month to farking Monday...
$890 for four Falken tires (the irony that the tire brand sounds like f**kin' is NOT lost on me)
and my grand total is $2600 for nothing more than ordinary expenses in the course of owning an automobile.
Yeah, I know this isn't the whine & cheese subforum, but damn...

I drive a diesel truck.
A ford!
$2600... Lol ......
$1,000/mo for a car payment is beyond me. I understand given the tremendously high prices on some cars, but I think the bigger surprise is the apparently high number of folks out there somehow making those payments, along with mortgages, paying for food or kids, retirement, and everything else. And while my car insurance rates could be higher, when the van was brand new at the end of 2020, my rate then for 6 months was only $480 instead of the $730 it is today after 3 accident-free years.I recall some PMs between the two of us when you were shopping for a Transit circa when the Covid scourge had started (maybe just a bit before that?). Although $2600 (accumulated) on sundries is not a small sum to sneeze at, specially for those of us on fixed incomes, none of those expenses individually are horrible for the kind of set up which you are enjoying your life in
I read a report recently that nowadays car payments of ~ $1000 month (whether lease or loan purchase) are not that unusual anymore! In CA, the registration on that van would be twice as much and the insurance premium would’ve also most likely been higher. Falken tires are very good mid level tires and if you are getting the LT rated tires as you should be, I think that you got a pretty good deal.
Not trying to pacify the pain to your wallet but you are getting good “mileage” for your buck. Pun intended![]()
