Random Thought Thread

Usually my sales are first come first serve

Even at Blade show

But I'm not sure that's going to work out for this upcoming sale at the shop

What is the best way to do this?
Raffle tickets, or cake walk, like at a fair. LOL. Wish I could make it. Maybe someday. Seem to be many good folks here and there is no doubt the product is awesome.

Everybody gets assigned a number when they arrive. They can enter their number for any drawings on a particular knife being offered. Somebody draws the numbers from a CPK cap or RNG at the appropriate time.

(If you want to be restrictive, you can limit "wins" to only one knife per winner...or whatever number you choose. But that's secondary to giving everyone a fair shot for a particular offering.)

You bastard..
One word for you …..K-U-I-U , consider us even.

Two was you could do it.

First way, screw everybody else, I get everything. This gets my vote.

Second way, everyone that wants to be in on the sale gets a number. Random number generator provides those number in an order. Pick goes by order to the bottom, then comes back up from the bottom for the second round and so on till you are out of knives or we are out of cash.

I don't have a horse in this race although a few of my compadres had offered to bring me back something. I politely declined their generosity because IMO all those who show up for the get together, ought to have equal chances to purchase the rarer offerings as long as they are willing and able and asking for a proxy would be a selfish request. Blade Show is different and FCFS could be justified because you are not the only game in that show (although I may personally beg to differ). Just make sure that you have no objections toward usury practices on the compound so that those with bags of extra cash can demand 10,000% interest from those who forget to bring cash and failure to pay the lender will result in repossession, i.e, Marc will always win :p

ETA: R.P.S also gets my vote

Obviously the only solution is to put everyone in an empty conex box and just before you shut the door let Sadie in. First one bitten gets first dibs.

This way even the losers feel a small victory if they go home with all their parts in tact. And even those of us who couldn't be there get a small "bit" of satisfaction.

Or yeah, I guess you could rock / paper / scissors ... if you're all sissies.
