the fact that this person has no rack and the hip to shoulder ratio is off tell me that I'd probably try for the ol Mick Dundee test to be sure

Sigh.... 😏

The corners of the internet that you must traverse to and reside in to come across this kind of stuff.

I need to give the EDC a try, it looks like an awesome knife. For some reason I can’t just let the DEK2 go as my daily. Even the legendary FK2 couldn’t replace it. I have yet to find a better everyday knife.

If you already have a DEK series knife, I wouldn't spring for an EDC unless you just happen to want a smaller knife. The DEK are pretty close to perfect for anything you would want from your small everyday carry knife.

Great assessment Nathan, I’ve been carrying the DEK2 as a work knife since the day I’ve received it from you and Jo. I tried the FK2 for a week as my work knife and concluded that it’s just a tad too large for the “forgot it’s there” comfort that the DEK provides. For a woods knife the FK excels IMO. I’ve also put the DEK2 through some extreme tasks and it just laughs it off.

Love the DEK 2. If I were still on my old Special Response Team, it would be part of my kit when we'd suit up. Not too big and pretty much ready for anything.

I carry it from time to time during dog walks for that "come what may" moment that sometimes arrives unexpectedly.

The DEK2 seems like an excellent self defense tool. I usually carry my Micro9 on the weekends but for work (can’t carry) the DEK2 is absolutely unmatched.

Much as we love to enable our fellow CPK’ers here, I’d have to agree with this.

The DEK is an ideal size for me. I tried an EDC, but ended up moving it on to someone who would appreciate it. I guess my personal preference for a fixed blade, is something DEK sized at a minimum. I found the EDC smaller than I prefer for fixed blades.

It really comes down to personal preference. Lots of CPK’ers love their EDCs.

I never received it.

Seriously though, EDC is the perfect size for me at work. Less likely to scare people in the places I work (plenty of looks and even comments), and it can strip wire, knock the burr off a pipe or fitting, put holes through walls, cut steel banding… pretty much anything I’ve thrown at it.

What's the world record for number of CPKs owned...roughly?

I'm coming up on a dozen and will never challenge serious collectors, but am curious what the big boys have amassed?

(I promise not to organize a SWAT entry...and no names have to be provided.)

I can only speak of part of Grenock Grenock collection I've seen

And that's past numbers and in the oh shit level
