Someone tried to drive across my lawn then through the utility pole and then the tree behind it around 1 AM Sunday. He snapped the utility pole in two places. My wife called 911 and I went to check on the driver. I couldn’t see anything because all his airbags went off - I was afraid to open the door after seeing how much damage there was. He was fine.

I respond to these car vs pole accidents quite regularly and it always amazes me how often the drivers are virtually unscathed. Sadly, it goes the other way also, with the force of impact and possibility of the power lines still being energized. Glad he/she was OK and y’all are too. 👍🏼

I will say what happened last night was awesome...

A lady I work with called me and said her daughter has early admission tickets to this

But her daughter was sick and was willing to sell me the tickets for 50 dollars

Me and the Mrs. scrambled to find a hotel near it and get an uber

Then heaven friends... heaven I tell you

Unlimited pours...... multiple breweries , free stickers and bottle openers......what a fantastic night!

I hope all of you had an awesome Saturday
Have you ever been to Kuhnhenn brewing co or Sherwoood brewing co ? Both are in Warren and have GREAT beers. The IPA at Kuhnhenn is pretty damn good but I usually go for something a bit stronger. Every now and then they’ll release a 15-20% beer, usually a dark, so maybe not your thing- but worth every penny. Give it a try if you end up north of the city.

I took my Subaru (2013) in for routine service…
A/C was having issues. Apparently it bought the farm.
So what I anticipated about ~$100 service is now close to 2k.

For those of you with memories here… this isn’t the first time this kind of thing happened. ☠️☠️
My wife wants me to buy a new car. I am not sure I am at that point yet.

Pepperidge farm remembers

My old '88 Integra had shit A/C from the get-go. The one time I tried to use the Geico MBI insurance I had back in those years, they told me those particular parts weren't covered. (This is my shocked face.)

I ended up selling it rather than fix it.

sometimes 2k is less expensive and troublesome than a new car....

I just dropped $2300 on a 2005 Mercury. I know how solid the engine is and it doesnt have 100k on it even. so. fixing it is less troublesome and time consuming than getting something new.

I pray it is anyhow.

I hate some of the features on new vehicles. Like the tpws/tpms system in my wife's 2021 Highlander. The stupid tire pressure sensors are a total pain. They don't always link to each other and then you get a warning light on the dash, if your window tint is too thick/dark it can prevent the signal from the sensors working (or so I'm told). Ever since getting new tires you had nothing but issues with them.

My 2015 Toyota 4Runner? Not a single damn problem. Lifted it, did a body mount chop, installed a supercharger and an aftermarket air intake, along with regearing it. No issues whatsoever. The only thing I've ever heard people complain about is that the infotainment system is outdated which I couldn't give a flying fart about. The thing just runs. Love it.

I have a 2016 4Runner. No TPMS issues when I installed Toyo Open Country tires a year or two back. I don't think I've even played a CD in it since I either have Spotify or a very highly discounted Sirius XM package playing.

Especially with the cost of new vehicles. I read the other day that the average car loan now is around $700 month ( much more for trucks).
