Random Thought Thread

Back in high school I worked for a local home improvement store chain over one summer. One day had to go to the headquarters with this guy that had a Brat. Had a huge amp and equalizer zip-tied to the steering column and had to spread his legs around them. Hadn't thought of that for years!

I saw a Brat last month!

Truck gang! Lol

I always think of the one from My Name is Earl with the America flag paint job.

The last Holden Utes were produced in 2017 after which the Holden factory at south Australia's Elizabeth plant was shut down.

The SS V Redline Ute had the 6.2 liter LS3 V8 engine.

I was wishing I was in the Dakotas yesterday. I enjoy driving, but a jammed up I-95 through NYC isn't driving. 7+ hours of that 2 days in a row was more than enough.

Bonus rant: when did it become standard to get your rental van with a random amount of gas in it, possibly none?

El Caminos and Rancheros (and by default Brats, etc) are the mullets of cars. The scary thing is, mullets are fashionable again!! 🤔

Ok, so first off here I don't know what part of the country you live in but (and I mean this in the kindest way possible with no intent whatsoever of insulting or slandering said part of the country) I have to say that if mullets are fashionable again then I have serious doubts about both fashion taste as well as what qualifications the fashion police may or may not have where you are. Of course if you live anywhere near me it certainly wouldn't shock me, I see some pretty odd shit around here when I go outside 🙄🤔

Having said that, you do make a very good point with your analogy, and while I know many people like them I've never been a fan of that style of vehicle. However after recently having had the misfortune of seeing one of the new Tesla pickups, any one of those vehicls iook absolutely amazing in comparison - that "truck" is without a doubt the fugliest thing I have ever seen on the road.

Doing some microscopic TIG welding today, repairing my father's old .45

Just learned that these new mechanics gloves don't work so great for that anymore. They're conductive so they'll work with cell phones

I think that's the first time I've ever shocked myself welding

Did it make you do that dance where you jump up.... wiggle your right arm and hop on one foot in a circle while cursing?

That's what I do naturally when zapped
