I will argue, they are all alive and they are all dead. Just depending on which universe you're in.

It's my belief, based on 30 years of being a machinist not a physicist, that viewing the outcome of a quantum event "fixes" that event in your reality because it simply tells you which reality you're in.

Time is literally an illusion. Space might be too.

Lots of unknowns here. Particularly (what we're all wondering) is what did Schrodinger have against cats? Did they do something to him when he was a kid? So many unknowns.

As some of you know, I'm shooting film again. Also, you occasionally joke about my hands which make smaller cameras awkward to handle sometimes.

This guy in Texas 3D prints camera grips, and he designed one for my dad's camera. They have the additional benefit of having a quick tripod mount (Acratech) .... very excited about this

It's interesting to think about the unprovable philosophical aspects once in a while, but I rarely do. Mostly we just try to converge accurate calculations/simulations to predict or explain experiments.

I read that parts of NC had almost 30” of rain fall during the storm. Amazing.

My father and step-mother are in Asheville in a retirement community. We’re getting word that everyone is fine, that the essential parts of the place are on backup generators, and that they are able to serve hot meals to everyone at least 1x a day. Water seems to be out, I’m guessing because there is no power to pump the water up to the tanks in the overall system. Or the treatment plant is off-line. I’ve gotten occasional texts from them via friends who seem to be getting occasional cell service. I’ve heard that there is a route open from Atlanta - I’m tempted to go get them but they’re ok and I don’t want to add to the problem.

What the heck is this "iptv"?!?!?! Never heard of it! Does it live up to its billing?? Seems almost too good to be true. And I think you were short-changing yourself with "only" 13,000 channels!
