It’s an art thing. You wouldn’t understand.

It’s OK, though. My mom was an art teacher. I still don’t understand. 😂
Went to an art exhibit and one of the main pieces getting high praise was a black sweater with pet hair on it. Seriously- that was it. Heck, anyone with pets could have put the same ‘art’ on the wall.

Funny story - I read a book about minimalism that connected the dots between the current trend we know today and the minimalist art movement of the 20th century, including these 'empty' art pieces, and it detailed the story of someone that was going through one of these exhibits, and either left a pair of glasses or a jacket on a bench or something, and everyone mistook it for one of the exhibit pieces and started taking pictures of this 'revolutionary new piece'. If anything, the unintentional self-parody was more art than the art itself. Humans are pretty funny.

What would’ve REALLY amused me, would’ve been listening to ‘art critics’ pontificating about how deep and moving the piece was 😂

When random people can mistake your art for garbage, things seem a little off…

I guess the intention was a shift from the typical 'what is this piece trying to tell us' to more of a reactionary 'what are people trying to experience from looking this piece'. But that is still no excuse for creative laziness😆

Minimalism is just a plot by big small to sell more less.
