My wife spent some time in the hospital with her mother recently and she developed a nasty cough shortly after. That deep, racking, unproductive kind of cough that takes you in fits and seems to last for months. I spent the night on the recliner last night, hoping the space would help her a wee bit and trying to snatch a little bit of rest myself at least.
My wife had the same thing all through September and October. Mostly fine during the day but at night she would get random fits of dry, hacking cough that lasted for a couple of minutes at a time. Was told it was just allergies and would be a fact of life until it wasn't. The cedars down here are fixing to start procreating again so we'll see if the nightly fits resume just in time for Christmas.
