Random Thought Thread

There are many roads ultimately leading to the same place...some we choose, some we don't. Eventually we all end up there.

I only say this because it's probably best not to push too hard. Most everyone here knows that their choices have consequences. In fact, "everyone" would probably be a more accurate statement.

The manager at work agreed to buy the beef for me to smoke for a work potluck Monday.....

Almost 40lbs of prime brisket and beef ribs!!!!!!!

Speaking of beef, I received a very nice, totally unexpected gift of four half pound filet mignons from a friend here. Had I not mentioned the issues with FedEx we've had since "Helene", I'd have had no idea who the culprit mysterious benefactor was.

Who says "sneaky" and "generous" aren't symbiotic?

Yes, as I switch to the new cover sheets on my TPS reports, I wonder whether former acquaintances who went out in a blaze of fentanyl, meth, and whores, might have had it all figured out...
 
The wife and I are building a house about 30 miles north of where we currently live, went and looked at it this morning.

Should be ready this summer. Trying to time everything perfectly so we sell our current home and move directly into this one.

They always look small when they're a footer. But once the walls go up they look huge.
