Random Thought Thread

I'm going to guess it's a red wire......

You really have to zoom in to fully appreciate the level of fuckery that is the complexity of this air compressor

It has a wye delta contactor with a time delay relay. Two door interlocks. And an actual plc controller not just wire logic.

Got it working. Loose connection to the brain. Must have wiggled loose during shipping.

Zoomed in and it appears to be beyond the Flux Capacitor. I’m just happy you got it figured out and it’s working again 👍

Apparently hit hard by COVID
Lol I love the automated messages that warn of delays due to COVID in 2025. It screams of government competence. But in this case, this is a different issue; this is the Denver hub, and started recently (or I just lucked out and both packages I have going through there have been lost for a week)

I don't know why, but boxes full of wires give me the heebie jeebies.
Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist at least they use a colour you can see, and not magenta or whatnot

Try sticking your hand in a box full of wires, wired to 240 volt high leg Delta three phase.

Again and again and again

While you're bent over twisted and halfway upside down, holding a flashlight in your teeth, dangling leads from the multimeter in both hands while trying to push your bifocal glasses back up your nose so you can sort of see.

Fortunately, this sort of thing gets much easier as you get older

I hated doing this when I was younger, with steady hands, a strong and flexible back, and perfect vision.

Boy I'll tell you what, that really sucked.

Doing this when you're old is awesome though. I'm really enjoying it a lot.

"I'm sorry, Tanto, but Nathan is just not a risk we can assume. Please stop calling!"
