Looks like a few mandatory evacuation orders have gone out within a few miles of our home. I'm really hoping we don't have to leave, but it's a bad scene with so much fuel on the ground from the hurricane in late September to early October, and the storms last week.

We're in a wooded area surrounded by state and national forests. Not sure that the local county and town fire services will be able to tackle this on their own.

Well that sucks

I love having an old Land Rover with a 3" lift. They leak so much oil, I only need to crawl under to change the filter and then refill. Lol.

Only kidding. I replaced the motor a few years ago with a crate motor from the UK. Not cheap, but it doesn't leak a drop.
Very cool. Do you have pictures? One of my best friends imported one and he’s talking me into getting one also!

Stay safe. I am familiar with the feeling. Good luck with it.

Holy hell. I was hoping the fires were further away from you. So much devastation in the area. Stay safe!

Take care, Sir! I know you will!!! 👍

So far, so good. No immediate evacuation orders yet. The ones for the neighboring areas are still in effect and there are county wide warnings for all of the surrounding counties here as well as in the upstate of SC. It's not great. It's dry, there's lots of fuel for fires and it's been windy.

Fingers crossed.

Thanks guys for sending the positive energy. It's been a bumpy ride for the last few months...but...we're way better off than most.
