Random Thought Thread

Three cars in my household and I just changed the batteries for all 3.

2022 Acura MDX: OEM battery died at 35 months. Dealer replaced it under warranty.
2018 Honda Pilot: OEM battery replaced at 6 years, but still worked.
2019 Honda CRV: OEM battery died at 5 years.

I replaced two of the batteries and a Duralast Gold cost $230 for each.
change the batteries in the joysticks too you'll thank me

Can’t measure the inter cranial fat levels with these.

For that, you need to use transmission delay measurements. Pretty easy to do. Use a convenient hammer and lightly tap the side of your skull. Measure how long it takes to realize this wasn’t a good idea. Anything more than 1.5 seconds isn’t good 😅
I keep tapping, how many is too many?
It stopped hurting after 35 tries. I’m a little bit dizzy, is that alright🤪

I just received a letter from the Social Security Administration notifying me of a 40% increase in my Social Security benefits beginning March 2025 and the deposit of a lump sum payment for back payments due from Jan 2024- Feb 2025 under the Social Security Fairness Act (SSFA).
😊

Of course, this doesn't include the roughly the $50k in Social Security benefits that I previously earned but never received between 2015-2025, because my benefits were reduced by 40% by the Social Security "Windfall Elimination Provision"(WEP) and the Social Security "Government Pension Offset" (GPO) because I received a government pension, as an LEO, that was not covered by Social Security, which is the problem that the SSFA was enacted to address.

I hope that others of you here who were likewise affected have received a similar notice increasing your benefits from the SSA. 🙏

Congrats on your upcoming expanded CPK collection

Congrats on your upcoming expanded CPK collection

Thanks but . . .

I don't have to worry about spending any more $ on a CPK because someone else always snaps up any that I'm interested in before I even have a chance to buy one -- whether offered by Nathan or someone in the 2ndary market.

Whenever they're posted, they're GONE in minutes (if not seconds). 🤷‍♂️

So, I'm going to spend the extra $ on a few expensive lunches or dinners which is about all that it amounts to. 😉
