I just had a spindle rebuilt yesterday and the cost was about $1,000 higher than it should have been. I asked why and he said his cost for ABEC7 bearings is up 50% since the start of the year.

My cost for steel is up 18%.

My cost for abrasives, that I buy directly from the manufacturer, is up 24% since this time last year and that does not include this latest tariff. I'm almost scared to ask what it is now because the base is imported from Europe.

The Kyocera SGS carbide end mill we use the most is up a whopping 47% compared to where it was a couple years ago.

My labor hourly is way up

But hey, my cost for electricity is pretty flat. So that's nice.

From where I'm sitting, it looks to me like inflation is coming back again.

Which is good. Because it decreases the value of my debt and increases the value of my assets. So it's fine. Everything is fine.

Fixed it for you at the end there? 🙋‍♂️🙆‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I was just thinking to myself that there are fantastic, outstanding, incredible opportunities available to anyone with vision in this dynamic economy!

Just think; with the loosening of the unfair restrictions imposed by child labour laws, you can unleash the power of their tiny little hands, 80 hour work weeks and low, low wages in order to specialize in the production of miniature knives! CPK could bolster its reputation as an industry leader bigly, and usher in an era of the smol knife!!! The K18? How about the K1/8?
