well.... for the image to make it here without severe consequences I'm guessing it would have to be AI.....Do we really need AI for that? Seems par for the course.
Sounds like a great time to make a lot of integral daggers to fight rising costs. The Kyocera SGS carbide end mill we use the most is up a whopping 47% compared to where it was a couple years ago.
My labor hourly is way up
I just had a spindle rebuilt yesterday and the cost was about $1,000 higher than it should have been. I asked why and he said his cost for ABEC7 bearings is up 50% since the start of the year.
My cost for steel is up 18%.
My cost for abrasives, that I buy directly from the manufacturer, is up 24% since this time last year and that does not include this latest tariff. I'm almost scared to ask what it is now because the base is imported from Europe.

But hey, my cost for electricity is pretty flat. So that's nice.
From where I'm sitting, it looks to me like inflation [is coming back again.]> HAS BEEN RUNNING HOT SINCE 1920.
Like a neck knife?time to start specializing in miniature knives?
Why wooden stick? Mill the whole thing from 1” thick blanks. Then the strip of space resulting from the gap between the handles, created by the inverted heads cut from the blanks, can be milled into 2 daggersWar hammer. Just a chunk of D3V on wooden stick.
