If you don’t mind my asking- how much is that repair going to cost (ballpark).

Are the aluminum repairs much harder, or parts simply replaced?

Lots of welded aluminum boats up here for running into rocks/ice, but they are pretty thick.

I've noticed with heavily damaged aluminum parts the insurance company will choose to replace most parts

On aluminum repairs you are supposed to use a separate set of tools , and they can be tricky (hammers etc that have not been used on steel)

I forgot the total cost but will take a look at the estimate again when I get to work!
 
The plastic interior panels don't even come close to matching up. They're off enough that, to the eye, it almost looks intentional

They do rattle though. It had an annoying rattle on day one. Which isn't really surprising.

The old 1997 7.3 OBS is, objectively, a nicer truck.
