Use glue traps for mice, catches every insect that touches it. Works wonders and is completely 100% safe.

But if pets step on it, it becomes a royal mess. Keep it hidden and out of the way and it will work wonders.

Use more than you think you will need, because you are going to catch a multitude of things.

They last a long time too.

Yep, glue traps are super effective but I just can't stomach them. I've caught all sorts of beasties in those things and absolutely hate to see them starve to death. Even the scorpions don't deserve that.

When I lived in Mexico, we would go out hunting for scorpions at night, and then toss them into an old aquarium we found, along with a bunch of black widows. We called it "The Terrorarium."

We didn't have a TV. Things were slow. There was betting. There was tequila. Good times.

Scorpions usually won, if anyone's curious.

At least they had a fighting chance. I have it on good authority that chickens are the best way to get rid of scorps. Apparently it's quite sporty to watch the chickens hunt for them.

Yeah, I've heard that chickens will eat them. So will roadrunners.

Scorpions are amazing critters and tough as nails. I have a huge amount of respect for them. To date, they are the only animal that has sent me to the ER (although there's at least one other time I prolly shoulda gone). Oh, and are we counting shellfish poisoning?

Sidenote: I don't recommend extended stays at hospitals in rural S. America.

I have chewed up some pretty large branches that were hidden in the snow at the cabin. There have been some pretty terrible hand/arm injuries from folks trying to clear augers or the chute while machine is running. People have slipped into them as well. Despite all of the safety features, some people insist on doing things like using a clamp or bungee cord to hold the auger control down while they go around the front to check it out.

Oh I don't doubt you could get maimed, but to make it seem like it acts like a wood chipper is just silly. In this case the killer went at the person head first. Really think it could crush/chop a human skull? Inconceivable! One time mine kept jamming and I would check the intake and couldn't see anything. After the 3rd time I spent more time clearing it out and found a completely flattened metal mailbox that a plow must've taken out up the street. Was surprised the shear pins didn't break. If that didn't do it, not sure what would.

In addition to a Bladesports win, CPK won another award today! I played the “slasher” character for my Gourmet’s Club Murder Mystery tonight and won best performance. My main prop was a Signature FK3 - everyone gasped in fear when I pulled it from it’s sheath and the steak didn’t even stand a chance! 🔪🙂
