Good LORD man.
Looks very comfortable and inviting, speaking of that did I miss the guest room? Asking for the forum, we don’t need muchHouse update:
It's far enough to change our insurance, so the wife took the photos below for them. Good time to share again, I guess:
Our lead contractor keeps moving the schedule ... he is an optimist, I find that charming and he does good work, so I can't really complain. And the cabin is not a bad place to wait for him to be done .... In any case, currently, we are scheduled to move furniture and boxes in just before Thanksgiving (when he has to get the two cow elks he has tickets for).
You don't see much change on the outside, except all the missing pieces (for example, green Bavarian shutters, the glass/green house, etc.) having arrived and waiting for installment:

All the work is happening on the inside: floors, walls, furniture for kitchen and bathrooms, etc.:
2nd floor, master bathroom:

Laundry room: tiles look "distressed" intentionally, still need grout; washer and (gas-based) drier are waiting in the garage:

"Dog den", next to the master bed room. Tiles and the white stuff, i.e., PVC that will cover the bottom 3 feet of the walls. Big dogs slobber ....

1st floor: Almost ready to install what's currently waiting in the garage: kitchen fridge, stove, oven, and sinks. Counter tops are dark brown quartzite; the two slabs needed for kitchen and bathrooms came in from Colorado and are waiting to be cut:

Dining room is still full of stuff going into the 2nd floor, i.e. laundry room, master closet furniture, etc.

What the contractors call my "man cave": office, darkroom and bar in the attic. Walls (yet to be painted) are covered with local wood, floor will be hickory, like everywhere else without tiles. There are 3 balconies; balustrades to come after the box/furniture move.

Main entry door waiting to be installed ... the temporary white door in the first pic will be replaced with the final black one. You enter the "vestibule", remove your boots, etc., and see this thing:

Main event for next week: elevator installation. Fingers crossed.
Cheers,
Roland.
