You and I are just about old enough to have seen some of the best fights from the golden era of the "sweet science". Of course I was way too young or not even born to remember / witness some of the earlier masters like Rocky Marciano, Sonny Liston, the young Ali (Cassius Clay back then) among others but at least we saw them.

Perhaps as an older man I am just reminiscing and pontificating. Maybe "traditional" boxing was getting too antiquated among the younger generation used to the pizzazz of the WWE like entertainment & the UFC multi skills fights, finding boxing boring! I dunno, maybe these influencers gloving up and doing their things in the era of Internet brings more people back to the sport, but fans of pure boxing bouts of yesteryears can not be too pleased about these newer, lame, meek and water down products.

I'm a grumpy ol' man who has earned the right to safely sit on the side lines and then make fun of, shyte talk about what I see. It's a perk of becoming a cantankerous ol' SOB :D

In reality I realize that it takes a lot of guts and gumption on top of all the hard training, sacrifices, sweat and blood for Jake Paul to get into the ring with a monster like Joshua, but sorry, not sorry, for a kid who earned his infamy by doing Jack-Ass type pranks on YT and the pump up with steroids/HGH to become that what you showed in those photos, is just spit in the face of the sport which I once loved. I will give Jake an A for his bravery, an A+ for his business acumen and an F for having a functional brain left past 50 years of age if he continues desiccating boxing!

It's so stupid. I also hated "yeet". Why the hell do we need a new word for throw?!?

I have just accepted the fact that I'm old and tired with no time for nonsense.

Every generation creates its own slang for things.

Unfortunately, you realize you’re old, when you start complaining about the things old people complained about when you were young 😅😔

I was probably ‘old’ at a younger age than most.

“Hmmm… why is ‘That’s pretty cool’ a compliment, when a ‘cool reception’ is synonymous with lukewarm?”.

“Why is bad = good, now? Bad ass sounds like the result of eating the wrong thing…” 😂
