I have a suspicion that at a certain level of wealth, you don’t really need to do anything yourself. Most likely, large corporations literally buy people in politics. It’s hard to believe there’s anyone truly independent there

I’m about to go do some pull-ups, and then I’ll have a beer. Yesterday I forgot to drink beer, even though Monday is my official beer day.
Somewhere I heard this nonsense that if you work out and then drink beer in the evening, you’re basically devaluing the workout.




I’m just closing the carb window…
or what, did my muscles find out I had a beer and cancel the workout?

I actually look forward to the harassment training. Whomever has been writing them always has some really good zingers that are supposed to be an example of things not to say.

I try and file them away for good occasions to use them.

I can't remember if I told this one or not...but back in the late 90's to 2000, when political correctness, diversity and "sensitivity" training was beginning to grab us by the throat, all of us agents were required to attend sensitivity training which was being presented by an employee or contractor out of HQ in D.C.

Not surprisingly, it was an African-American female dressed in West African garb who provided us with a lecture and slide show. (This was on day 1 of a two day affair.) I guess the presumption was that we in the field didn't have an opportunity to deal with all kinds of...

Always found it funny that I had to do that yearly (harassment, anti-corruption, export laws, etc., etc.), but our government employees don't - well at least and obviously congress members don't do it.
