Random Thought Thread

Kinda kicking myself. Hate to sell something that won’t be made again but I honestly didn’t carry it so I’m gonna stick with more edc friendly stuff.
Sound thinking for sure.
I still have battles going on, in my mind, that require a shiv. Having one in-hand, well really sends me further down the rabbit hole, but man, I do love the design. But then again, I’m writing this from my padded cell, and writing this while wearing a straight jacket, is rather difficult. 🤣

And on a more “sane” note, Matt Gregory posted a nice summary, in the “General Discussion” thread, about a recent presentation on the differences between straight ingot melt steel and the powder metallurgy process on blade edges. The presentation was by Shawn Houston (great metallurgy knowledge and expert knife sharpener, and also worked with Spyderco on the 15V steel), at Niagara Specialty Metals. That is a presentation that I would have liked to attend.

Whaaat?! Don't you guys own any pet octopuses? Some of us figured out that was the only way eons ago. I'm going to be ordering my 14th from that pet farm soon as the existing preorders are getting filled.

They are fun to play with. Don’t live very long for a pet though. In Alaska 15 years ago:

I lean that way myself haha. Always been fascinated by fighters. I’ve been bitten by the custom slip joint and the watch bugs. Gotta move some stuff. Might get a CRK too. It’s a sickness

We could be spending our money on stuff a whole lot less healthy for us. Well, Tanto would probably disagree.
