I don’t know why, but it makes me a little sad.

It is sad. We’re pretty rural out here so we still have a decent amount of small businesses to support. I think it comes down to the people and making a little more intentional choice than just going for convenience. We can get a lot of baked goods, dairy, vegetables and meat locally by hitting one or two farmers markets or using Market Wagon. It’s worth it to me. Plus when I go to the coffee shop on the weekends I tell my wife I’m stimulating the local economy

We’ve got a mama red fox who has been keeping her kits in the drainage pipe under a neighbors driveway. We have been having fun watching them grow by the day but hadn’t seen mom herself until this morning. They all look healthy just wish they weren’t so close to the road. Crummy iPhone pics is all I could get.
