It seems I'll have to admit the fact that I'm losing my hair

Hair transplants and all that stuff... I don’t know.

Maybe I should just accept it, change my style, and start rocking really short haircuts?

🤔

Anyway, you can even laugh at this.

People have already laughed at me.

My grandma, for example. She says I’m going to go bald too, just like all the men in our family.
Two words:

Skull Lette!!!

Not everyone can successfully rock the shaved bald head look. Case in point (no pun) there is this hyper wealthy gentleman named Marc Andreessen who is also very successful by investing in and fluffing all this AI stuff. I don't think that any of those super talented hair transplants surgeons in Turkey & South Korea combined can come up with a landscape plan on this dome, but if your head is not from Beldar Bonehead's gene pool, you may want to try the least expensive option first:

As I get older, it occurs to me that instead of becoming more like my father, I am becoming more like my grandfather.
Me too. Though my mother's father...not my father's...as far as hair or the lack thereof in recent years.

As I realized, even the best go bald.

In general, as I've noticed, shame is just part of a man's life.

The main thing is to act like you've won anyway.

And feel good about yourself.

No

No, no, no, no

No. And I cannot emphasize this enough. No.

Shame is not just a part of a man's life

The main thing is not to act like you've won anyway.

And "just feel good about yourself" is the right answer to the wrong question

Focus on being internally motivated, not externally motivated.

I feel for you bro…

The “male pattern baldness” gene runs in my family. 🙁
It started to appear in my early 20’s and kept increasing during my 30’s and was very evident by my mid 40’s/50’s. I bought a set of barbershop style electric clippers around 25 years ago and started to run a short #2 setting.

My 23 year old son is starting to lose his hair now and has decided to try some Minoxidil which may slow the loss down somewhat while he is still young but he’ll probably be heading towards MPB by his mid 50’s.

I think that in the olden days when oblong head shaped infants were born that way, midwives used to put some sorta special bonnets on the infants head when the cranial is still soft to try to prevent that egg-shape development. Otherwise those kids were subjected to being ass kicked on the streets and the alley ways. The world was probably a much tougher and unforgiving place those days for oddly shaped folks!

Honestly speaking, I mostly meant it as irony…!

In general, I mostly see it the same way as you do.
