Satin white siding, satin black on the facia, black or dark blue on the shutters and thin brick tile the exposed foundation and retaining wall to match the chimney.

    Two that I recently completed.
Gray is a good option also, but I hated the red.

For that house, I think that I would probably stick with white for the walls (more traditional), and then I would go with green for the trim.

It also depends on where you live. If you live in San Francisco, then maybe have fun and paint it a rainbow. If you live in Poughkeepsie then different colors might be in order.

White and Green were classic homesteader colors growing up in Alaska (or at least it seemed that way to me), which is part of why I always liked the combo. It was also the color of the old family farm house in Minnesota.

My house now is yellow with white trim and red accents. It is thoroughly unremarkable looking, but nice enough.

    Great to hear!
My father’s place had about a foot of debris covering the yard but no trees down. His neighbor had a large pine come down on the roof but no structural damage. All in all not bad for 80+ mph winds moving through.
Their houses are all on stilts so flooding wasn’t an issue.
