Random thoughts

We are here in Long Beach, CA with daughter and son in law. We all went to Disneyland yesterday. Got there when it opened at 8 and left about 10pm. It was a super fun day. We were tired but we thoroughly enjoyed the time with them. Dalton planned everything out to what rides to do and what foods to try. They researched the foods through tick tock. They nailed it with exception of the churro. None of us were a fan. We ate a lot, stood in line a lot, laughed a lot. Man I miss they are not a drivable distance right now. They are working today and wife is out walking their dog. I keep their cat entertained. We are here until Tuesday and have the evenings with them. We will go exploring tomorrow. Sunday our daughter has to leave to go to a conference so we are going to San Diego for an overnight and see some stuff. Good times.
 
Sounds like some great time with the family. My son turns 8 on Friday and the next day him and I are competing at a Jiu jitsu tournament. Sunday it is off to Surfside Beach, SC for us.
 
I think it's crazy cool, how Adam's disobedience infuriated God so much that from that day on, some plants that produce the sweetest foods, grow thorns.

And yet, God still loves us so much...

That in the same gardens in which the thorny fruit vines grow, there too grow plants that will ease the pains of the abrasions and lacerations from those thorns.

And help us sleep deeper so that we will heal from those wounds faster.

Even did I not believe the first lines...

And let me tell ya, having been a man for forty-five years, having had 3 wives, and having been involved in the raising of 3 daughters, twice as a single dad, I have zero issues with, and absolutely do believe the Biblical account.

I still would never be able to blieve the subjects in the image having come to exist as the result of some random cosmic accident.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Been warm here but we have made some great progress on this project. For right now I’m working on a project 10 minutes from the house so that is awesome. I'm being told that I will be here for awhile so wife is happy. Project is a 2 story 70k sq ft medical building. Tilt construction that is complete. Not a big job so keeps steps to a minimum. Have a good day.
 
Hope everyone has had a great week. Enjoy and have a safe July 4th. I am off tomorrow and will return to work next Wednesday. We are going to Charleston SC to be with our youngest daughter and SIL. Looking forward to seeing them. Shouldn't buy any blades over the holiday weekend but you never know. I will say I'm done for a bit and then bam I buy one right away. Project I'm on right now is going good. Its a 70,000 sq ft medical office building with an ASC so not too big. It is so nice to be 10 minutes from the house. I'm on this project at least until I have my next surgery on my eye to reduce the dilation of my pupil which won't be for a few months.

I am finding a few old pocket knives in antique stores, find a good price on ine or two but most are too expensive for what they are, some are good brands, some are just cheap brands.
 
Im sitting in the hospital early this morning with my Dad who is here having a heart procedure. Hope it goes smooth and quick. This place gives me anxiety.

Thanks. I hate it here. I've spent way too many weeks in the hospital in the last two years. Hope we get out of here quick today.

I am praying for your Dad (and you) Greg.

Hearing that you need a heart procedure is always kind of scary. I speak from experience as someone who had a four year stint of ongoing atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter from 2017 thru 2020. Many ER visits, cardio versions, and ablation procedures later, I have remained in perfect sinus rhythm and feeling great for the last six years. The fact is that with today’s sophisticated equipment, techniques & proven less invasive procedures, doctors and hospitals do these procedures day in and day out with tremendous success rates.

I pray that your Dad is another of those success stories and back home quickly.

Thanks Phil.

A few months ago he had a double bypass. Today they are doing an ablation procedure.

He just got out and the doctor said it went well so I'm just waiting to go see him.
 
Get your knives while you can because when I win the lottery I'm gonna buy them all. Wait! That means I have to buy a lottery ticket. When I find the winning ticket on the ground I'm gonna buy them all.

On the East coast last week we had a lot of the smoke from Canada make some of the air quality really bad. Code purple which I have not heard of before.
