• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I would have bet quite a bit that it was either Bruce Shaw or Pat Holder engraving as I had seen the oak lief/acorn motif before.
I believe it's Bruce's earlier work. That along with Linda's pre-Stone mark would indicate it's an older knife.

I PM'ed you with the value I would put on it considering what we know now and it current condition.

Bruce and Pat have different styles to their engraving, Pat having been trained by Julie. I would have absolutely bet against it being Pat's, but never having seen one damn oak leaf/acorn shell in Bruce's D'Holder work, I really got fooled on this one.

Coop, I guess you and I didn't quite hit the nail on the head, huh, but you sure did, Kevin. I don't know how many hundreds of D'Holders I've owned, both older and newer, but this is the first oak & acorn I had seen.

Who'd a thunk?

EDIT: Kevin, I am not a betting man and I would have bet you (after all, it woulda been a sure thing, haha) - AND LOST!

Well, I lost my shirt on that one. ;)

D' got back to me. Nope, it's not Pat's.

Isn't it funny how we all like a quiz....??!!!
