I thought about slipping a .357 into on of the chambers, like my brother did to me once, but I also wanted to go shooting again someday. I haven't bought a gun in years, what happened to the prices!!!!

Thanks guys,...... trog, the English Pit is a pistol, rim-fire and rifle range that is an abandoned gravel pit. There are two porta poties , covered shooting tables and that is about it. Very low ball/low key. The thing I like is that there are very few people that go there and , as happened yesterday, when it is windy out you are completely immune to the winds effect, as it is probably 25 feet below grade and it is also surrounded by large conifers. I've never been there with more than a few other people on the whole range.

Sounds like a nice range, those are the ones I like. The one I go to. You get more than a few people shooting, it's getting too crowded. Very small range,,,

I don't like crowded ranges either - when there is a lot of people with guns in small place the odds of catching some lead increase exponentially :D

I made a mistake of having momma shoot a 1oz slug - she didn't like the shotgun after - but she loved the .22s
 
Lol Pauli, that is what I don't/didn't want to have happen, so it's all good. She says she saw a different person in me when we got to the range, I guess I'm a little hyper vigilante when it comes to guns and gun safety, I just didn't realize it. I was raised in a home where there were always loaded guns around, unlocked, and so it's in my DNA I guess. I really heard my father speaking through me, it was strange.

Well here it is.
Momma is now the official owner of her first gun, in this case a S&W model 60, .357. We hit the range on Sunday and she put about 75 rounds of .38 specials through the chamber before I got a turn. A great afternoon all in all.

Great pics Pepper! Also cool to see someone else goes to the English Pit :thumbup: Reminds me that I need to go shooting soon...Almost went this weekend, but lost motivation for some reason :(

Maybe next time I will get photos of the AR . We just haven't been able to get away from the pistol range lately.
