I just saw this one flipping through the new BQ catalog. It looks like a good deal and a good tool. Anyone have any experience with this one? Thanks in advance.
 
I own one, but haven't used it. I've used two other Gingrich made hawks, and they performed well beyond expectations.

The edge grind is ground for concrete and metal, not plastic and wood. It will definitely bust that stuff up, but it is designed to maintain its edge on harder materials. If you plan to use it primarily on softer materials you may want to thin/re-profile the edge, or call Justin at Ranger Knives directly and tell him you want one with a thinner edge.
