This knife really blew me away

Simple put I loved it :)

Raphael is one of Sams Friends and they both show such a wonderful talent

That is a unique folder. Add in some Ti bolsters, and drop the harpoon clip a bit or even flush with the spine and I'd call it perfect.

Certainly Lurquinesque, except for the folding. Thanks for giving us woebegone folks who didnt make it to Blade something to look forward to, Joe.

In 2009, Sam told me that some of its customers would have wanted a Lurquin folder.
As he didn't make it, I presented it Raph, I knew that it corresponded to the criteria of Sam...

Chuck, one of my friends lent me his the first model.

Soo : Handle 125 mm +- 4" 15/16 , Thickness : 20mm +- 3/4" , in the "hollow" 17mm

Open : 205 mm +- 8" 1/16

I hope that I am clear...

The model which presents Joe is a version more "Raphaël" no scales with rivets ....

Correct my brother Norbert and I will post more pics soon because it is mine now :)

Maybe . .........I have to think but certainly not my last :)

Raphael and I have agreed to be pen pals and he is going to send me pics of his wonderful work and if we are lucky he will let me make some of his incredible work available to the Forum

The one that I was so fortunate to receive was gifted to me by my dear friend Matt Diskin. Raphael gave him a deal that I am glad Matt could not refuse. Huge thanks to Raphael & Matt for making this happen

I love it

Mine is thinner in the handle than the one pictured by my friend Norbert

I was lucky that Glen from our own forum was kind enough to snap a few pics as we where breaking down the booth

The junction is almost invisible

More pics of this incredible folder to come as he sends them

Congrats to you, Joe! So glad to see this. Raphael is not only a superbly talented maker, but a great person! This was his first trip to Blade, and he plans to be back (he will be back!). I enjoyed visiting with Raphael and seeing his work at the show.

Excited you ended up with this! Not sure what your boss sees in you, though?? ;) :D

Thanks Joe

I am hoping Raphael stays in touch and keeps me posted on his work

This folder got huge complements from everyone that saw it

Joe this was a great show for both of us. In fact all of my friends did so well I am thankful for all
