Rapid cooling after tempering cycle? Please provide a link to this thread.

Hi, I remember reading about "quenching" a blade in water after the tempering cycle, I tried searching but came up empty. Could someone provide me with a link?

Thanks for the reply, but i'm not looking for color. Just wondering if it's better to cool a blade slowly from each temper cycle or cool rapidly in water? I'm using ATS-34.
