Rare, New in the box Custom Buck Vanguard 692 with a 4 1/8 inch BG-42 steel blade. Tang is stamped Buck Custom U.S.A. on one side and Designers Choice BG-42 on the other side. Comes with original black nylon sheath, box, and paperwork.

This is a rare BUCK that can be used as a hunting knife, a bushcraft knife, a backpacker's knife. BG-42 is a chromium-modified high speed steel. It offers excellent wear resistance as it contains 1.2% Vanadium and very good ductility. You can read more about BG-42 steel from Latrobe's data sheet:
