Up for sale is a rare Cold Steel clip point shinobu with San Mai steel. Blade looks great and it has the original edge and is scary sharp. Blade is 3 1/2". This knife was made in Japan. This large Shinobu folding knife with 3.5" San Mai clip point style steel blade (8.25 overall) and black kraton handle. This model is made of San Mai steel and means "three layers". It is the term given to the traditional laminated blades used by the Japanese for swords and daggers. Laminated construction is important because it allows different grades of steel to be combined in a single blade. San Mai provides a blade with hard, higher carbon steel in the middle for a keen, long lasting edge, and tougher, lower carbon steel along the sides to withstand impact and lateral stresses. and has been discontinued for many years. This is a hard to find Cold Steel knife in excellent condition. I am the original owner and has been in a drawer for years. It has never been used, carried or sharpened. It is in as good condition as you can find a knife this old. $85.00 shipped. SPF
I am am open to offers, the worst I can say is I am not interested.
The first "I'll take it" with a follow-up e-mail (halgolightly@yahoo.com) or PM will get the knife. The price of the knife will include the Paypal fees. I will ship the knives USPS priority mail. I will ship foreign but buyer pays actual cost of shipping and is responsible for delivery once it in the hands of the USPS. Thanks for looking.
