As most of you may already know, I am thinning out my vast collection of throwing knives. I am getting ready to go to The Blade Show in Atlanta and I have cherry picked at least two rare pieces from my collection to offer to my forum friends.
The first is a Tru Balance Mountain bowie that was made for the American Knife Throwers Alliance as the annual knife for 1998. These were made in a limited number and have special feature like the AKTA National Championship logo and gold canvas micarta handles. In addition to these features, the knife is serial number 2. $250.00 plus shipping
The proceeds will go to the AKTA for future projects.
The second piece is a rare piece of history that I bought from Paul Basch. A throwing knife made by the maker to the stars, John Nelson Cooper. This knife is used and has some character marks as it was one of the official shop throwers that was thrown by Mr. Cooper, Jody Samson ( I verified the story with Jody when I interviewed his a few year ago for an article that I wrote for the Blade guide to knives and the article is in the current edition)
This knife was also thrown by a lot of the Hollywood stars who visited the Cooper shop in Burbank. SOLD
